H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta visits the Wangari Maathai Institute stand during the 2016 Nairobi Innovation Week
The 2016 Nairobi Innovation Week held at the University of Nairobi’s main campus from August 2-4, 2016 was presided and officially opened by H. E. President Uhuru Kenyatta. The President was drawn to the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences’ (CAVS) stand which hosted the Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies and the wPOWER Hub where he was taken through the eco-friendly architectural design of the Institute which is currently under construction and also clean cooking and lighting innovation technologies from the wPOWER Hub.
